Giant Mealworms are an excellent bait for pan fishing and trout. Their hard exoskelton keeps them on the hook. They average 1 – 1 1/4″ in length. Giant Mealworms are shipped in cloth bags in summer months and in wheat bran in colder months. Wheat bran which they use as their bedding. They will last for 1-2 months if refrigerated. Giant Mealworms are a staple feeder bug for turtles and small mammals.
